Can the Optima Steamer deactivate the coronavirus?

The short answer is yes. The data is promising according to validations, performed by Steamericas, on other microorganisms. A growing list of public information points to the virus being deactivated when being exposed to moisture and temperatures over 80°C (175°F). As you can see from the graph below, the Optima Steamer XD/XE series is more than capable of meeting the required output. However, because the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19 is still new, there is no specific validation yet for steam deactivation.
